Coverage of the detailed road network has been extended in the following countries: Albania: +58 percent, Bosnia & Herzegovina: +65 percent, Bulgaria: +8 percent, Macedonia: +55 percent, Serbia: +10 percent.
The 2018 version features over 725,000 towns and communities.
Precise navigation to the required house number has been expanded. There is, for the most part, full house number coverage in central and northern European countries, while coverage has been improved in the following countries: Czech Republic: +56 percent, Poland: +1 percent, Serbia: +1 percent, Slovakia: +47 percent.
Over 4.6 million key points of interest are featured on the DVD, including filling stations, car parks, museums, restaurants and hospitals. There are over 2.3 million more POIs here than on the previous version and 15 new POI categories.
Some 90,079 restaurants and 52,313 cash dispensers have been added to the new 2016/2017 version. If required, the navigation system will also show the user the quickest route to 3201 Mercedes-Benz service outlets.
Using the data from the Traffic Message Channel, the navigation system takes into account the latest motorway traffic bulletins and automatically calculates diversions. This convenient service is now available in 12 countries, 5 of which have been updated for this version.
Map updates include millions of changes, e.g. new roads, crossroads, bypasses, junctions and motorway slip roads and exits. One section of road may feature a whole range of attributes such as house numbers, one-way routing, number of lanes or turning restrictions. All of these attributes and the vast number of points of interest are updated constantly.
